The synthetic rigid cell is an extended surface, medium to high efficiency filter designed for most commercial and industrial HVAC systems, as well as hospitals and high humidity environments. It features a high lofted ultrafine synthetic media that provides excellent dust holding capacity, and its rigid construction nearly eliminates dust particle unloading downstream of the filter. The filter is available in MERV 10, 11, 13, and 15 ratings, with a box-style and single header design, and comes in either 6" or 12" depths with a galvanized steel frame. It can be used as either a pre-filter or final filter depending on the application, and is robust enough to withstand unfavorable conditions, especially in variable air volume (VAV) systems.
