The DC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power rating of 1/8 HP and operates at 61 RPM, utilizing a gear ratio of 29 to 1. It can handle an overhung load of 267 pounds and offers a full load torque of 113 lb. in. The unit is constructed with a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure and falls under a 30 frame size, operating at 12V with a name plate current of 10.4 amps. This permanent magnet DC gearmotor is performance matched for continuous duty and includes precision machined in-line steel gears, beginning with a steel helical gear followed by spur-type gears. The lubrication used is permanent semi-fluid grease, minimizing leakage risks, while the output shafts are equipped with needle bearings for enhanced load capacities and are made of hardened steel. Although a conduit box is not included with the motor, it is designed for versatile mounting at any angle, with a caution against positioning the shaft up with the motor below to avoid lubricant leakage in case of a shaft seal failure. Overhung load capacities are specified at the center of the output shaft, and the motor's stall torque is greater than the recommended full load torques. It is recommended to utilize a current limiting device such as an SCR control to prevent potential damage. Model 300 gearmotors maintain the same mounting dimensions as Bison's 300 and many Dayton gearmotors.
