Product Details
The DC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a specification of 1/17 HP, operating at 150 RPM and a gear ratio of 12:1. It has an overhung load capacity of 180 pounds and offers a full load torque of 24 lb.in. The motor is housed in a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure with a 30 frame size and operates at 90V with a nameplate current of 0.8 amps. These totally enclosed, permanent magnet DC gearmotors are engineered for continuous duty and are equipped with precision machined in-line steel gears, including a first stage steel helical gear followed by spur-type gears. Permanent semi-fluid grease provides lubrication, minimizing leakage risk. The output shafts are fitted with needle bearings for high load capacities and are constructed from hardened steel. The design allows for mounting at an angle, although positioning the motor below the reducer is discouraged to prevent lubricant leakage if the motor shaft seal fails; note that the motor's stall torque may exceed recommended full load torques, and a current limiting device should be used in such scenarios. Overhung load capacities are applicable at the center of the output shaft. Compatible models include Bison 011-190-0013, Bodine models 158, 187, 188, and 192 (all with a Leeson armature voltage of 90V DC), and Grainger/Dayton model 6Z916 (which requires the installation of conduit box kit M1760007, as Leeson does not provide a tapped-hole as standard for pulse generators).
