The DC motor is a 1/2 HP, 1800 RPM unit featuring a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure and a S56C frame, designed for continuous duty at 12V. This motor is suitable for applications that require battery or solar-powered operations, or generator-supplied low voltage DC, and boasts high torque, continuous duty designs. Key technical features include easy access brushes for servicing, large over-sized brushes that assure longer brush life, a removable stamp steel base, and permanently lubricated sealed ball bearings. It provides high starting torque and maintains linear speed/torque across the entire speed range, while also being capable of dynamic braking. The motor includes two-lead connections for simple rotation reversing.
