Product Details
The DC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power output of 1/4 HP and operates at 250 RPM, boasting a gear ratio of 10:1. It accommodates an overhung load of 201 pounds and provides a full-load torque of 45 lb-in. The gearmotor has a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure and is built on a 34 frame, running at 90V with a nameplate current of 2 amps. Engineered for continuous duty service, the gearmotor's rugged aluminum die-cast housing supports precision machined gearing that is hardened for optimal load capability, constructed to meet AGMA class 9 standards, and designed to withstand momentary shock overloads of 200%. Key features include oversized output bearings, high-carbon alloy output shaft for maximum strength, precision-ground needle bearing journals post heat treatment, and heavy-duty industrial oil seals that retain lubricant and block dirt ingress. The gearing and bearings are splash lubricated with permanent heavy-duty gear oil. These gearmotors can be mounted at any angle, although positioning the shaft up with the motor below is discouraged to avoid lubricant leakage into the motor. The motor's stall torque exceeds the recommended full-load torque, and a current-limiting device, such as an SCR control, is recommended to prevent damage. Model PE350 gearmotors share mounting dimensions with Bodine's "E" box and many Baldor gearmotors. This gearmotor is compliant with necessary certifications and offers compatibility with various motor controls and drives.
