The DC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power rating of 1/17 HP and operates at 30 RPM, utilizing a gear ratio of 60 to 1. It is capable of handling an overhung load of 155 pounds and offers a full load torque of 100 lb-in. This motor has a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure, with a 30 frame size and operates at 90V, with a name plate current rating of 0.8 amps. It includes totally enclosed, permanent magnet technology, and is performance matched for continuous duty. Precision machined in-line steel gears are utilized, featuring a first stage steel helical gear followed by spur-type gears, all lubricated with permanent semi-fluid grease to minimize the risk of leakage. Output shafts are supported by needle bearings for high load capacities, and the shafts themselves are made of hardened steel. While not supplied with a conduit box, the motor is designed for angled mounting, though care should be taken to avoid placing the motor below the reducer to prevent lubricant leakage in the case of shaft seal failure. Note that the motor's stall torque may exceed typical full load torques, and a current limiting device is recommended if such conditions are expected. Overhung load capacities are measured at the center of the output shaft. Compatibility includes Bison model 011-190-0072, Bodine models 161, 190, and 195 (all with a Leeson armature voltage of 90V DC), and Grainger/Dayton model 6Z914 (which requires the installation of conduit box kit M1760007, as Leeson does not provide a standard tapped-hole for the pulse generator).
