The DC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power rating of 1/8 HP, delivering a speed of 167 RPM and a gear ratio of 11 to 1. It has an overhung load capacity of 197 pounds and a full load torque of 43 lb. in. The motor is totally-enclosed and non-ventilated (TENV) with a 30 frame size, operating at 90V and drawing name plate amps of 1.3. This permanent magnet DC gearmotor is performance matched for continuous duty and incorporates precision machined in-line steel gears, consisting of a first stage steel helical gear followed by spur-type gears. It utilizes permanent semi-fluid grease for lubrication, minimizing leakage risks. The output shafts are equipped with needle bearings for enhanced load capacities and are crafted from hardened steel. The unit is designed for versatile mounting angles, although mounting with the shaft up and the motor below should be avoided to prevent lubricant leakage in case of a shaft seal failure. The overhung load capacities are specified at the center of the output shaft, with the motor's stall torque exceeding the recommended full load torques. To avoid damage, it is advised to use a current limiting device, such as an SCR control. Model 300 gearmotors share the same mounting dimensions as Bison's 300 and many Dayton gearmotors. Compatibility is noted with Bison: 011-336-2011, Bodine: 4151 (Leeson armature voltage is 90V DC, and Leeson gearbox mounting face includes 3-point mounting), and Grainger/Dayton: 4Z128.
