Product Details
The DC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power rating of 1/2HP and operates at 60 RPM, boasting a gear ratio of 29 to 1. It can handle an overhung load of 625 pounds and delivers a full load torque of 476 lb. in. This gearmotor is constructed within a totally-enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure, utilizing a P1102-48 frame and a 90V power supply with a nameplate current of 5 amps. It is specifically designed for continuous duty service, adhering to standard efficiency types. The gearbox is made from rugged aluminum die cast housing, ensuring maximum support for gears and bearings, while the precision machined gearing is hardened to enhance load capacity. All gears are rated to AGMA class 9 standards and are designed to withstand momentary shock overloads of up to 200%. It features oversized output bearings for improved load capacity and longevity, and its high-carbon alloy output shaft ensures maximum strength and rigidity. The needle bearing journals are precision-ground post heat treating for optimal finish and fit, while heavy-duty industrial oil seals maintain lubricant integrity and keep contaminants out. The gear and bearings are splash lubricated with a permanent heavy-duty gear oil. A conduit box is included for easy installation, and the gearmotor can be mounted at any angle, although mounting with the shaft up and motor below is discouraged to avoid lubricant leakage in case of seal failure. The overhung load capacities are specified at the center of the output shaft, and the motor's stall torque surpasses the recommended full load torque, necessitating the use of a current limiting device, such as an SCR control, to prevent potential damage. The model P1100 DC gearmotors share the same mounting dimensions as the Bison 483 and various Dayton gearmotors. Compatibility includes Bison 011-483-2028, Grainger/Dayton 6Z416, and Minarik 507.
