Product Details
The DC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power specification of 1/2 HP and a speed of 92 RPM, boasting a gear ratio of 19 to 1. It handles an overhung load of 575 pounds and delivers a full load torque of 320 lb. in. The motor is housed in a totally-enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure, has a P1102-48 frame, operates at 90V with nameplate amps of 5, and is designed for continuous duty with a standard efficiency type. The gearmotor is a totally enclosed, permanent magnet DC type, optimized for continuous duty service, and features a rugged aluminum die-cast housing that provides maximum support for gears and bearings. The precision machined gearing is hardened for superior load capability and complies with AGMA class 9 standards, designed to endure momentary shock overloads of up to 200%. Key features include oversized output bearings for enhanced capacity and longevity, a high-carbon alloy output shaft for strength and rigidity, and precision-ground needle bearing journals to ensure optimal finish and fit. The design incorporates heavy-duty industrial oil seals to retain lubricant and prevent dirt ingress, while gears and bearings are splash lubricated with permanent heavy-duty gear oil. A conduit box comes included with the motor, which can be mounted at any angle, although shaft-up mounting with the motor below should be avoided to prevent lubricant leakage. The motor's stall torque surpasses the recommended full-load torques, and a current limiting device, such as an SCR control, is advised to avert potential damage. The model P1100 DC gearmotors share the same mounting dimensions as Bison 483 and various Dayton gearmotors.
