The DC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power rating of 1/4 HP and operates at 42 RPM, boasting a gear ratio of 58 to 1. It can handle an overhung load of 327 pounds and provides full load torque of 325 lb. in. This gearmotor is equipped with a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure, has a 34 frame size, and operates on 12V with name plate amps rated at 21. Designed for continuous duty service, the gearmotor has a rugged aluminum die-cast housing that maximizes gear and bearing support, along with precision machined gearing that is hardened for maximum load capability. All gearing is designed to AGMA class 9 standards and can withstand momentary shock overloads of 200%. It features oversized output bearings for enhanced overhung load capacity and longevity, while the high-carbon alloy output shaft ensures maximum strength and rigidity. The needle bearing journals are precision-ground after heat treatment for optimal finish and fit, and heavy-duty industrial oil seals effectively retain lubricant and keep dirt out. The gears and bearings are splash lubricated with permanent heavy-duty gear oil. Please note that a conduit box is not included with the motor. These gearmotors can be mounted at any angle, although mounting with the shaft up and motor below is discouraged to prevent lubricant leakage into the motor should the shaft seal fail. Overhung load capacities are measured at the center of the output shaft, and the motor's stall torque exceeds the recommended full load torques, suggesting the use of a current limiting device such as an SCR control to prevent damage. The model PE350 gearmotors share the same mounting dimensions as Bodine's "E" box and many Baldor gearmotors.
