Product Details
The DC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power rating of 1/4 HP and operates at 50 RPM, utilizing a gear ratio of 50 to 1. It has an overhung load capacity of 315 pounds and delivers a full load torque of 250 lb. in. The gearmotor is equipped with a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure, has a 34 frame size, and operates with a 90V supply, drawing name plate amps of 2.3. Engineered for continuous duty service, this totally enclosed permanent magnet DC gearmotor includes a rugged aluminum die cast housing designed for optimal gear and bearing support, precision machined gearing hardened for maximum load capability, and gearing rated to AGMA class 9 standards to withstand momentary shock overload of 200%. Its design incorporates oversized output bearings for enhanced overhung load capacities and durability, along with a high-carbon alloy output shaft to ensure maximum strength and rigidity. All needle bearing journals are precision-ground post heat treatment to achieve superior finish and fit, while heavy-duty industrial oil seals prevent lubricant leakage and contamination. The gears and bearings are splash lubricated with permanent heavy-duty gear oil. Although the gearmotor can be mounted at any angle, it is advised to avoid positioning the shaft upward with the motor below to prevent lubricant leakage into the motor in the event of a shaft seal failure. The overhung load capacities specified are measured at the output shaft's center, and the motor's stall torque surpasses the recommended full load torque, necessitating a current limiting device like an SCR control to prevent damage. Model PE350 gearmotors match the mounting dimensions of Bodine's "E" box and several Baldor gearmotors.
