The DC gearmotor features a parallel shaft configuration with a power rating of 1/4 HP and operates at 125 RPM, supported by a gear ratio of 23 to 1. It has an overhung load capacity of 256 pounds and offers a full load torque of 100 lb. in. The gearmotor is housed in a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure, with a 34 frame size and operates on 90V with a nameplate current of 2 amps. Designed for continuous duty service, the gearmotor includes a rugged aluminum die-cast housing that provides maximum gear and bearing support. The precision machined gearing is hardened for enhanced load capability and is rated to AGMA class 9 standards, capable of withstanding momentary shock overloads of 200%. Key features include oversized output bearings for increased overhung load capacity, a high-carbon alloy output shaft for improved strength, and precision-ground needle bearing journals for optimal finish and fit. It is equipped with heavy-duty industrial oil seals to maintain lubricant integrity, and the gears and bearings are splash lubricated with permanent heavy-duty gear oil. While the gearmotor can be mounted at any angle, vertical mounting with the motor below is discouraged to prevent lubricant leakage. Overhung load capacities are specified at the center of the output shaft, and the motor's stall torque exceeds the recommended full load torques; therefore, a current-limiting device, such as an SCR control, is advisable to prevent damage. Additionally, the model PE350 gearmotors share the same mounting dimensions as Bodine's "E" box and many Baldor gearmotors.
