Product Details
The DC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power rating of 1/8 HP, operating at 31 RPM, and has a gear ratio of 58 to 1. It supports an overhung load of 327 pounds and offers a full load torque of 220 lb. in. The motor is housed in a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure and is constructed with a 30 frame, operating at 90V with a nameplate current of 1.3 amps. This permanent magnet DC gearmotor is performance matched for continuous duty and includes precision machined in-line steel gears, consisting of a first stage steel helical gear followed by spur-type gears. Lubrication is provided by permanent semi-fluid grease, minimizing the risk of leakage. The output shafts are equipped with needle bearings for high load capacities and are made of hardened steel. While the motor can be mounted at any angle, it is advised to avoid mounting with the shaft upwards to prevent lubricant leakage in the event of a shaft seal failure, noting that the overhung load capacities are measured at the center of the output shaft. The stall torque of the motor surpasses the recommended full load torques, and a current limiting device like an SCR control is recommended to prevent damage. The model 300 gearmotors share the same mounting dimensions as Bison's 300 and many Dayton gearmotors. Compatibility includes Baldor: GPP12547, Bison: 011-336-2060, and Bodine: 4155; Leeson's gearbox mounting face features a 3-point mounting system, and Leeson armature voltage is 90V DC.
