Product Details
The DC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power rating of 1/8 HP and operates at a speed of 94 RPM, with a gear ratio of 19:1. It can handle an overhung load of 236 pounds and has a full load torque of 77 lb-in. The motor is housed in a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure, built on a 30 frame, and operates at 90V with a nameplate current of 1.3 amps. This unit is a permanent magnet DC gearmotor, specifically designed for continuous duty applications. It features precision machined in-line steel gears, commencing with a steel helical gear stage followed by spur-type gears, all lubricated with permanent semi-fluid grease to minimize leakage risks. The output shafts are equipped with needle bearings for high load capacity and are made of hardened steel. The design allows for mounting at any angle, although positioning the shaft up with the motor beneath is discouraged to avoid lubricant leakage in case of a shaft seal failure. The overhung load capacities are measured at the center of the output shaft, and the stall torque of the motor surpasses the recommended full load torque, hence the use of a current limiting device, such as an SCR control, is advisable to prevent damage. The Model 300 gearmotors share identical mounting dimensions with Bison's 300 models and various Dayton gearmotors, ensuring compatibility with Bison: 011-336-2019, Bodine: 4153 (with a Leeson armature voltage of 90V DC, and a Leeson gearbox mounting face that includes 3-point mounting), and Grainger/Dayton: 4Z381.
