The DC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power rating of 1/17 HP, operating at 60 RPM, and a gear ratio of 30 to 1. It has an overhung load capacity of 171 pounds and delivers a full load torque of 56 lb. in. The gearmotor is constructed with a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure, utilizes a 30 frame, and operates at 90V with a nameplate current of 0.8 amps. This gearmotor is a totally enclosed, permanent magnet model, designed for continuous duty and features precision machined in-line steel gears, consisting of a first stage steel helical gear followed by spur-type gears. Lubrication is provided by permanent semi-fluid grease, minimizing the risk of leakage, while output shafts are equipped with needle bearings to enhance load capacities. The hardened steel shafts add to the durability, but a conduit box is not included. The design allows for mounting at an angle, although positioning the motor below the reducer is discouraged to prevent potential lubricant leakage. The motor's stall torque may exceed the recommended full load torques, so incorporating a current limiting device is advised if this service is expected. The overhung load capacities are measured at the center of the output shaft.
