The Leeson Motors DC motor is a 1HP, 1800 RPM model featuring a Totally-Enclosed Fan-Cooled (TEFC) enclosure with an XS56C frame and a Rigid C design, operating at 12V for continuous duty applications. This motor is ideal for battery, solar-powered, or generator-supplied low voltage DC operations. It is engineered for high torque and continuous duty, providing easy access to brushes for servicing and large oversized brushes for enhanced longevity. The motor features a removable stamp steel base, permanently lubricated sealed ball bearings, high starting torque, and linear speed/torque across the entire speed range. Additionally, it is capable of dynamic braking and includes two-lead connections for straightforward rotation reversing.
