The 10/3 AWG, THHN black/white/red/green aluminum MC, 250 ft is part of the Southwire ArmorLite® Type MC cable, which is designed for branch, feeder, and service power distribution in commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-residential buildings. This cable is suitable for power, lighting, control, and signal circuits, whether fished or embedded in plaster, and can be used in concealed or exposed installations, as well as environmental air-handling spaces per NEC 300.22 (C), places of assembly per NEC 518.4 and theaters per NEC 520.5. It is also appropriate for installation in cable tray and approved raceways, under raised floors for information technology equipment conductors and cables according to NEC 645.5(D) & 645.5(D)(2), and in Class I Div. 2, Class II Div. 2, & Class III Div. 1 hazardous locations. The Southwire ArmorLite® Type MC cable meets or exceeds UL Standard 83, UL Standard 1569 for Type MC, UL Standard 1685, and Federal Specification A-A59544, ensuring both jacketed and non-jacketed types can pass the UL test and FT4/IEEE 1202 (70,000 BTU/HR) vertical cable tray flame test, along with compliance with the National Electrical Code. It is also listed for use in UL 1, 2, and 3 hour through-penetration firestop systems. The cable is constructed with soft-drawn copper, featuring Type THHN/THWN conductors rated at 90°C dry, available in sizes 14 AWG through 2 AWG, and includes a green insulated grounding conductor. The conductors are cabled together and wrapped with a binder tape that bears the print legend, while aluminum interlocking armor is applied over the assembly.
