The Southwire Type SJOOW flexible cords are designed for various applications as specified by Article 400 and related articles of the National Electrical Code, including wiring for portable tools, appliances, small motors, and associated machinery. These cords meet or exceed the requirements of UL Standard 62, CSA Standard 22.2 No. 49, and the Mine Safety and Health Administration's flame resistance for mining applications. Additionally, they comply with Federal and Military Specification JC-580B, OSHA standards, and are RoHS compliant. Constructed with bare flexible stranded Class K copper conductors, the cords feature heat, moisture, and oil resistant EPDM rubber insulation, non-wicking polypropylene fillers, and a tissue-paper separator for easier jacket removal. The final assembly is encased in a heat, moisture, and oil resistant flexible CPE jacket. Available sizes range from 18 through 10 AWG, with fully annealed stranded bare copper per ASTM B-174; some sizes may be subject to minimum order quantities.
