The Southwire 22959183 THHN 14 gauge building wire is a stranded type conductor, featuring a green insulation and extending to a length of 50 ft. This wire is primarily used in conduit and cable trays for services, feeders, and branch circuits in commercial or industrial applications, in accordance with the 2008 National Electrical Code. The conductor is rated for dry locations at temperatures not to exceed 90 °C when used as type THHN or T90 nylon, and suitable for both wet and dry locations at up to 90 °C or 75 °C when exposed to oil as type THWN-2 or TWN75. Additionally, it can be utilized in wet locations at temperatures not exceeding 60 °C as type MTW, with limitations on ampacity for 75 °C conductor temperature per NFPA 79. The wire maintains a voltage rating of 600 volts and can be installed without pulling lubricant. It meets or exceeds multiple specifications including ASTM standards, UL standard 83, UL 1581, UL standard 1063 (MTW), CSA, and RoHS compliance. The wire is made from annealed (soft) copper with unilay compressed strands, insulated with heat and moisture resistant polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and covered with a SlikQwik® infused nylon (polyamide) membrane.
