The Southwire 8/4 SOOW black flexible cord is designed for demanding applications including industrial equipment, heavy tools, battery chargers, portable lights, welding leads, marine dockside power, power extensions, and mining. This cord is OSHA acceptable, MSHA listed, and passes the MSHA flame test (P-136-29), providing assurance of its safety and reliability. It is resistant to sunlight, oil, acid, water, and weather, making it suitable for various environmental conditions. The construction features bare flexible rope-stranded annealed copper conductors, insulated with heat, moisture, and oil resistant EPDM rubber as per UL-62, with paper fillers cabled between the insulated conductors. A tissue-paper separator facilitates easy jacket removal, and an extruded flexible CPE jacket completes the assembly, ensuring durability and performance.
