The Southwire Type SOOW Black flexible cord is designed for demanding applications such as industrial equipment, heavy tools, battery chargers, portable lights, welding leads, marine dockside power, power extensions, and mining uses. It is OSHA acceptable and MSHA listed, meeting the MSHA flame test (P-136-29) and is resistant to sunlight, oil, acid, water, and weather. The cord features bare flexible rope-stranded annealed copper conductors and is insulated with heat, moisture, and oil resistant EPDM rubber in compliance with UL-62. The construction includes paper fillers that encase the insulated conductors, and a tissue-paper separator to facilitate the removal of the jacket. The assembly is completed with a heat, moisture, and oil resistant flexible CPE jacket.
