The 12/2 AWG, THHN black/white/green aluminum MC cable from Southwire ArmorLite® is designed for various applications including branch, feeder, and service power distribution in commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-residential buildings. It is suitable for power, lighting, control, and signal circuits, and can be fished or embedded in plaster, installed in concealed or exposed locations, as well as in environmental air-handling spaces as per NEC 300.22 (C), places of assembly according to NEC 518.4, and theaters following NEC 520.5. The cable meets the requirements of UL Standard 83, UL Standard 1569 for Type MC, UL Standard 1685, and Federal Specification A-A59544. It has passed the UL test and FT4/IEEE 1202 vertical cable tray flame test (70,000 BTU/HR) and is compliant with the National Electrical Code. Additionally, it is listed for use in UL 1, 2, and 3 hour through-penetration firestop systems. Constructed with soft-drawn copper, the Type THHN/THWN conductors are rated for 90°C dry, available in sizes 14 AWG through 2 AWG, and include a green insulated grounding conductor. The conductors are cabled together, wrapped in binder tape, and encased in aluminum interlocking armor.
