Protecting valuable humidity-sensitive items, such as reagents or electronics, is easy and fully automatic with Secador® Auto-Desiccator cabinets. The patented electronic desiccant regeneration module recharges the desiccant every 20 minutes, achieving a low %RH level on start-up and consistently maintaining low %RH, especially with frequent access to the interior. Made from Durastar® co-polyester construction, these cabinets block 99% of UV light and resist staining, crazing, and chemical attack; the amber color models reduce visible light penetration by over 50%, making them ideal for light-sensitive materials like reagents and analytical standards. The automatic dehumidification and desiccant regeneration cycle operates continuously every 20 minutes, and the color-indicating silica gel provides quick visual confirmation of desiccant status. The cabinets feature a large door with an easy-to-view digital hygrometer to maximize access to the interior space, a patented seal design, tab latches, and security loops for a padlock or tamper-evident seals, opening right to left. Perforated shelves facilitate the circulation of dry air, and the compact dimensions of 34.1W x 41.4CMD (13.4 x 16.3") allow for space-saving stacking of up to 2 units high. An extensive selection of sizes, styles, and colors is available in 100, 120, or 230V (CE marked) models for global use. The 230V units come with a power cord/transformer that includes Q-NA, Q-SAA, Q-UK, and Q-EU input connectors for compatibility with North American, Australian, UK, and European configurations. Replacement shelves are available, and the 4.0 units can be converted from vertical to horizontal configuration or vice versa by turning the unit and ordering the appropriate number of shelves.
