The 'flat dome' features a clear polycarbonate top with a large ribbed knob that enhances lifting ease, while maximizing interior clearances and offering an average of 13% greater interior volume compared to standard hemispherical domes. Each unit includes a 0.32 cm thick perforated plate, allowing for the placement of disposable or reusable desiccant either on or under the plate. A neoprene O-ring ensures a tight seal down to 0°C without requiring grease, although the ring is compatible with grease use. The white polypropylene bottom supports high heat applications with incandescent crucibles and Minerit HD ceramic desiccator plates (Series F42038).
