Protecting valuable humidity-sensitive items, such as reagents or electronics, is easy and fully automatic with Secador® Auto-Desiccator cabinets, which feature a patented, electronic desiccant regeneration module that recharges the desiccant every 20 minutes. In comparison to other auto-desiccators that regenerate every 4 to 6 hours, the Secador® Auto-Desiccators achieve a low relative humidity (%RH) level on start-up and consistently maintain low %RH, particularly with frequent access to the interior. Constructed from Durastar® Co-Polyester, these cabinets block 99% of UV light and resist staining, crazing, and chemical attacks. The amber color models further reduce visible light penetration by over 50%, making them ideal for storing light-sensitive materials like reagents and analytical standards. The automatic dehumidification and desiccant regeneration cycle operates continuously every 20 minutes, while the color-indicating silica gel inside the desiccant regeneration module allows quick visual confirmation of desiccant status. A large door with an easy-to-view digital hygrometer maximizes access to the interior, incorporating a patented seal design, tab latches, and security loops for a padlock or tamper-evident seals; the door opens right to left. Perforated shelves facilitate dry air circulation, and the compact dimensions of 34.1W x 41.4CM (13.4 x 16.3") allow for space-saving stacking of up to two units high. Customers can select from an extensive range of sizes, styles, and colors in 100, 120, or 230V (CE marked) models suitable for worldwide use. The 230V units are equipped with a power cord/transformer that includes Q-NA, Q-SAA, Q-UK, and Q-EU input connectors to accommodate North American, Australian, UK, and European configurations. Replacement shelves are available, and 4.0 units can be converted from vertical to horizontal configuration or vice versa by turning the unit and ordering the appropriate number of shelves.
