Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters capable of handling up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter for your needs, first verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the supplied input voltage, ensuring to confirm if it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for a current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, then select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. The available options include different configurations for incoming power: "direct-online starter" if line power is used as control power, "separate control voltage" if line voltage differs from control voltage, and "remote start terminals" if activation from an external switch is required, assuming that the line and control voltage are the same. Alternatively, if using different voltages, it can be configured as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 9A 3-phase direct online start/stop capability, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload with a range of 5.7-7.6A, all housed in a robust NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
