Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage supply, ensuring to confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for higher current (amps) than the FLA. The control power used to close the contactor must also be selected, along with an overload that contains the FLA. Optional criteria include the type of incoming power, with options for a direct-online starter, separate control voltage, or inclusion of remote start terminals for activating the starter from an external switch. The specific features of the starter include 65A capacity for three-phase separate coil voltage and remote start terminals, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 57-67A overload relay, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
