Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A, designed for robust performance and versatility. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the supply voltage, ensuring the correct phase (single-phase or three-phase). Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA. Additionally, select the control power for the contactor operation and the overload current range that encompasses the FLA. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power configurations, such as direct-on-line starters if line power is also used as control power, or separate control voltage if they differ. Remote start terminals can be included for activation from an external switch. The key features of the motor starter include an 80A capacity, compatibility with three-phase systems, remote start terminals, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay rated at 57-68A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
