Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the motor's FLA and select the control power used to close the contactor. Additionally, choose the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the FLA of the motor. The starter options can be narrowed down based on incoming power requirements, which may include a "direct-online starter," "separate control voltage," or configurations with "remote start terminals." This model features a 9A 3-phase separate control voltage, start/stop capability, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay rated for 2.3-3.1A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
