Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters compatible with motors up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor nameplate and ensure the starter is rated for current (amps) higher than the motor's FLA while confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase. The control power must be chosen to close the contactor, and the overload must be selected based on a current range that accommodates the FLA. Optional criteria include incoming power configurations, such as a "Direct-On-Line Starter" using line power as control, "Separate Control Voltage" if the control voltage differs, or "Remote Start Terminals" for activation from an external switch. The specific features of the starter include a rating of 9A, 3-phase operation, remote start terminals, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload range of 5.7-7.6A, all housed in a durable NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
