Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the supplied input voltage, ensuring you confirm whether it's single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. The control power used to close the contactor must also be determined. Overload selection requires choosing a current range that contains the motor's FLA. Each starter can be tailored based on several options, including incoming power configuration: a "direct-online starter" for line power used as control power, "separate control voltage" for mismatched line and control voltages, or "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. The specific features of the starter include a 9A one-phase direct online start/stop with a 100-250V AC/DC coil and a 5.7-7.6A overload.
