Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To ensure proper selection, users should verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage by checking the motor or equipment nameplate and confirm whether it is powered by 1-phase or 3-phase supply. The starter should be rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. Additionally, users must choose the control power used for closing the contactor and select an overload with a range that includes the FLA determined earlier. Optional selection criteria include incoming power configurations such as "direct-online starter," "separate control voltage," or configurations with "remote start terminals" that accept external switch inputs. Key features include a 9A 3-phase separate control voltage with a reset button, a coil voltage range of 24-60V AC/DC, and an overload rating of 1.7-2.3A housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
