Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters capable of handling up to 60 HP or 80 A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring to check whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of the motor, select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose an overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria include selecting incoming power with options for direct-online starter, separate control voltage, or remote start terminals. This model features a 9 A rating, operates on 3-phase power, includes a separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, has a reset button only, and is rated for a coil voltage of 250-500 V AC/DC with an overload capacity of 4.2-5.7 A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
