Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, and confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for a current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, and select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload should be selected based on a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Furthermore, you can choose based on incoming power configurations, either direct-online or separate control voltage. If using external switch activation, the starter can include remote start terminals. Key features include 9A 3 phase separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button, and a 250-500V AC/DC coil, along with a 2.3-3.1A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
