Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters, capable of handling up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) on the motor or equipment nameplate based on the input voltage and confirm whether the power is single-phase or three-phase. The starter should be rated for a current (amps) exceeding the FLA. Additionally, choose the control power for closing the contactor and select the overload based on a current range that encompasses the FLA. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power type: a "direct-online starter" uses line power for control, while "separate control voltage" indicates differing line and control power. For remote activation, terminals can be added to accept external control power input, which is applicable for both scenarios of equal or separate line and control voltages. The motor starter features include a current rating of 9A, designed for 1 phase operation, direct online functionality, a start/stop mechanism, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay range of 7.6-10A, all housed within a robust NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
