Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, and confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of your motor and select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload should be chosen by selecting a current range that includes the FLA of the motor. The starter selection may also depend on the incoming power; if the line power serves as the control power, this is a "direct-online starter," while different voltages for line and control power require "separate control voltage." Remote activation through external switches is facilitated by additional terminals, termed "remote start terminals." In this case, if line and control voltages differ, it is classified as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." The features include a 9A, 3-phase model with separate coil voltage and remote start terminals, a reset button only, 100-250V AC/DC coil, 4.2-5.7A overload, and a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
