Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of your motor, and select the control power used to close the contactor. For the overload, select a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria include incoming power types: a "direct-online starter" uses line power as control power, whereas "separate control voltage" indicates differing line and control voltages. If activation from an external switch is needed, remote start terminals can be included, assuming line and control voltages are the same; otherwise, it is referred to as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features of the starter include a 9A rating, compatibility with 3-phase systems, a direct online configuration, a reset button only, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 5.7-7.6A overload protection.
