Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, ensuring you confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power used to close the contactor, and then choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. The options include selecting incoming power as either a "direct-online starter" where the line power doubles as control power, or "separate control voltage" for different line and control voltages, as well as configurations with "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. The key features include a 9A 3-phase separate coil voltage reset button only, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and overload protection ranging from 4.2-5.7A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
