Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, first refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA. Select the control power used to close the contactor and choose the overload based on a current range that contains the motor's FLA. Additional options include selecting the type of incoming power: for direct-online starters, line power is also used as control power; for separate control voltage, the control voltage differs from the line voltage; for remote start terminals, terminals are added for external switch activation. Key features include a 9A 1-phase direct online start/stop capability with a 100-250V AC/DC coil and 3.1-4.2A overload protection, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
