Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60 HP or 80 A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To ensure the proper selection of a starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage supplied, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. It is essential to choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, select the appropriate control power to close the contactor, and choose an overload that encompasses the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power considerations such as "direct-online starter" for using line power as control power, "separate control voltage" for different voltages, and "remote start terminals" if activation from an external switch is required. The key features of this kit include a 9 A rating, 1 phase, separate coil voltage, start/stop functionality, a 100-250 V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay rated at 1.7-2.3 A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
