Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for motors up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of the motor, select the control power for the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the FLA. Options for incoming power include "direct-online starter" when line power is also the control power, "separate control voltage" when different voltages are used, and "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. Key features of the starter include a current rating of 9A, compatibility with 1-phase power, a separate control voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button, a coil voltage range of 24-60V AC/DC, and an overload relay rating between 5.7-7.6A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
