Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to confirm the full load amperage (FLA) at the specified input voltage, determining if the power is single-phase or three-phase. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) above the FLA. The control power for closing the contactor must also be specified. The overload must be selected to encompass the FLA identified. Optional configurations include Direct-On-Line Starter for matching line and control voltage, Separate Control Voltage for differing voltages, and Remote Start Terminals for activating the starter from an external switch. This particular model features a 9A one-phase separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button, and operates on 100-250V AC/DC coil with an overload range of 5.7-7.6A, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
