Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power to the motor. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor and select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload should be chosen by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria include the incoming power, where "Direct-On-Line Starter" is used if the line power is also the control power, while "Separate Control Voltage" applies when the control voltage differs from the line voltage. For starters activated from an external switch, terminals can be added to accept control power input, termed "Remote Start Terminals," or "Separate Control Voltage + Remote Start Terminals" if different voltages are used. Key features include 9A 1-phase remote start terminals, start/stop functionality, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 7.6-10A overload in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
