Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, first refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA. Additionally, select the control power to close the contactor and choose the overload based on a current range that encompasses the FLA. Optional criteria include selecting for incoming power, with options for Direct-On-Line Starter if line power is used for control, or Separate Control Voltage if the control voltage differs. For activation from an external switch, options such as Remote Start Terminals or Separate Control Voltage + Remote Start Terminals are available. The features of this kit include a 9A 1-phase starter with Separate Control Voltage + Remote Start Terminals, a reset button, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay rated for 7.6-10A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
