Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, first refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, ensuring to confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. Additionally, select the control power used to close the contactor and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. The options available include a 9A rating, single-phase operation, direct online configuration, a reset button only, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload range of 4.2-5.7A. The product also includes the option for incoming power to be either the line power used as control power or separate control voltage configurations with remote start terminals for activation from an external switch.
