Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power used to close the contactor must also be specified, along with selecting the overload by choosing a current range that contains the FLA. Optional criteria include incoming power; for example, if the line power will be used as the control power, it is a "direct-online starter." If the control voltage differs from the line voltage, it is treated as "separate control voltage." For activation from an external switch, terminals are available for control power input, referred to as "remote start terminals." Should you need remote start terminals while using different voltages for line power and control power, this configuration is noted as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 9A 1-phase remote start terminal, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 5.7-7.6A overload, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
