Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. The control power used to close the contactor must be selected, and the overload should be chosen by selecting a current range that includes the motor's FLA. Optional criteria include incoming power type: "direct-online starter" if line power is also control power, "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from line voltage, and "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. If using different voltages for line and control power, this is referred to as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 9A 1-phase separate coil voltage start/stop, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 7.6-10A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
