Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage supplied, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, and determine the control power used to close the contactor. For the overload, select a current range that includes the FLA of the motor. The starter options can then be narrowed down based on incoming power: if line power is used as control power, it is labeled "direct-online starter"; if control voltage differs, it is "separate control voltage"; and if activated from an external switch, it will have remote start terminals. The features include a 9A 1-phase separate control voltage with remote start terminals, a start/stop configuration, and a 24-60V AC/DC coil with an overload range of 1.7-2.3A, all within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
