Product Details
Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, ensuring to confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. Additionally, select the control power used to close the contactor and the overload by choosing a current range that includes the FLA of the motor. The options suitable for your motor and power requirements can be narrowed down further based on incoming power configurations. If the line power is also used as control power, it is designated as a "direct-online starter." If the control voltage differs from the line voltage, it is classified as "separate control voltage." For activation from an external switch, terminals are added to accept the control power input, known as "remote start terminals." If remote start terminals are required with different voltage for line power and control power, this is labeled as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." The features of the motor starter include 12A 3 phase direct online start/stop, 100-250V AC/DC coil, and 4.2-5.7A overload, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
