Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, ensuring to confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power used to close the contactor must be selected, along with the overload by choosing a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power, where a direct-online starter uses line power as control power, and separate control voltage distinguishes when the control voltage differs from line voltage. For activation from an external switch, remote start terminals are included, with options for separate control voltage and remote start terminals with different voltages. Key features include 12A, 3 phase, remote start terminals, start/stop functionality, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and a 10-13A overload relay, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
